Monthly Challenge #2 [SEPTEMBER 2012]Hi everyone!!
Now that September is here, it means it is also the start of another monthly challenge!!   The goal of these challenges are not to compete and compare with each other (that's what contests are for ^o^).  These challenges are simply for fun and to help improve our techniques and craftsmanship in making miniature art.  Challenges also help you try things you might not have tried before. Each month the team at Little-Dreamers (LD) will think of a theme for the challenge and hopefully many of you will share your works with us!
This Month's Theme!
The theme for this month's challenge is Real vs. Fake!!  For this challenge, the artist must first take a picture of the object/person/food in real life and then make a miniature replica of that object/person/food.

Contest time creative clay artists! The theme this is fruit desserts! So make whatever you would like that is a dessert and contains any kind of fruit! Heres some inspiration of real life fruit desserts.

Dia de los Muertos Artisan Crafts FeatureAs with the Halloween feature I made, I'm a bit late... but I still think that any time is time for good art!
Some of you already know that I'm mexican and proud, and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a very important tradition for me. While it is also celebrated  in other parts of Latin America I am only familiar with the traditions we have here, so I'm really sorry for not being able to represent everyone :heart: But feel free to leave me a comment with your own traditions, I would love to read about them :)
In case anyone is interested some years ago I published a more or less detailed explanation on ofrendas (offerings) complete with photos. Also, I shall warn you that I consider myself a purist, and while I appreciate everyone's efforts to make art inspired by Dia de los Muertos there's some things that simply don't go with the spirit of this date, and I won't include them in this feature... for exa

The theme in this Valentine's month would be the ever dynamic and attractive treat: cupcakes
Your cupcakes can be in any flavors, any frosting and any toppings.
Make your work special with different decorations --- they can be a bitten cake or even a cup-cake pop!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all doing well!  We had a great response for last month's challenge!  Everyone did such a great job!   I hope you are all having a great time doing these monthly challenges!   For those of you wondering what monthly challenges are, these are little activities just for fun. 
Totally RandomSoooooo I'm still amazed at my skills right now (maybe I have ninja skills that I'm not aware of hehehe).  I just hit a fly on the wall with the fly swatter (while jumping since it was super high up on the wall) and my motion sensor garbage can opened and the fly fell into the garbage can.... O.O.  What perfect timing.  I was not looking forward to cleaning the dead fly off the floor lol.  (I feel like I shouldn't be this excited about the timing of things...since I just killed a bug...@_@)...but yes, that was my random note for the day hehe.

General Rules
